The Cybersecurity Center for the Public Good pursues cybersecurity work with attention to technology's impact on civic engagement and societal well-being. Researchers work alongside clients to share ideas, explore cybersecurity needs, and ideate solutions to today's most pressing challenges – all with guidance from experts at the School of Engineering, School of Arts and Sciences, Fletcher School, Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life, and more.

This work spans a range of cybersecurity challenges, including anonymous communications, privacy-preserving database systems, human-centered security and privacy, AI and hardware security, and cybersecurity policy. They develop novel methods to improve cybersecurity and evaluate them with relevant stakeholders to provide real positive impacts for society.

The Cybersecurity Center is offering a postdoc position with renewable one-year appointments. Postdocs will contribute to the Center's research mission by joining teams of faculty and staff researchers in developing proposals and performing research of high impact in all areas of cybersecurity. Preference will be given to candidates focused on the human factors of cybersecurity (particularly for cybersecurity professionals), healthcare cybersecurity, or anonymous communications.

Suitable candidates must demonstrate technical excellence in any area of cybersecurity through high-impact peer-reviewed publications. Teaching experience is not necessary. Salaries are competitive and commensurate with experience. Full benefits are included (health care, pension, commuter, etc.). Start dates can be negotiated but ideally candidates would start in Fall 2026.
