Cybersecurity is an area of critical importance to the nation and the world, and there is a tremendous and ongoing need for new innovations to address cybersecurity challenges. Effective solutions not only must solve technical challenges, but also must address the societal impact of technology. The future of cybersecurity requires an interdisciplinary network of experts to advance cybersecurity research, application, and education.
Our mission at Tufts Cybersecurity Center for the Public Good is to:
- Develop cybersecurity solutions that enhance the public good.
- Do so in part by engaging social scientists, policymakers, economists, and cybersecurity experts to better understand complex issues.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary projects across the School of Engineering, School of Arts & Sciences, The Fletcher School, Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life, School of Medicine, Tufts Data Intensive Studies Center (DISC), and other institutions.
- Aid non-profit organizations and local governments with cybersecurity assessment, application, and training.
- Deepen the university's capabilities in cybersecurity by providing practical experience for students, faculty, and researchers.
